Dermal fillers (aka fillers) are injected under the skin to add volume and fullness. There are different types of fillers, consisting of calcium hydroxyapatite, hyaluronic acid, polyalkylimid, polylactic acid, polymethyl-methacrylate microspheres. At Cloud Cosmetic Clinic, we use dermal fillers containing Hyaluronic Acid (HA) which is naturally produced by the human body and present within the skin. With age, the levels of HA present within the skin decrease causing the skin to lose volume and develop wrinkles.

Common side effects of dermal fillers include bruising, bleeding and swelling post injection. Less common side effects include undesirable appearance such as asymmetry and lumps, and skin damage caused by wound and infection. These rare side effects can minimized under the care and supervision of a licensed, medical professional.
The similarity between Botox and dermal fillers is that they are minimally invasive, anti-aging cosmetic procedures performed by a licensed medical professional. Both, Botox and dermal fillers are not a permanent treatment and repeated treatments are necessary for desired effects.
There are multiple differences between Botox and dermal fillers. First, Botox freezes facial muscles to minimize the appearance of expression lines or wrinkles on the face. Whereas, dermal filler adds volume to plump up the skin and restore fullness on the face. Second, Botox results cal last up to 3-4 months and dermal fillers can last from 6 months up to 2 years. Third, Botox will not work on wrinkles caused by loss/lack of volume on the face. Whereas, dermal fillers are designed to treat fine lines and wrinkles by adding volume and fullness. Forth, once injected Botox can not be reversed/removed but it wears off eventually. However, dermal fillers can be removed with hyaluronidase, an enzyme which removes HA.
Botox and Dermal Fillers can be used together to achieve a desired look.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Laser hair removal is a leading-edge technique for permanently removing unwanted body and facial hair. Cloud Care Cosmetics is pleased to offer this treatment for men and women desiring to improve their appearance, save time and eliminate worries about the smoothness of their skin. To learn more about laser hair removal at Cloud Care Cosmetics, please explore the questions and answers below.
When done properly, laser hair removal produces permanent results in about 80-90% of patients. This means that hair will never grow back. In addition, some patients with difficult-to-treat hair find that they can achieve excellent results by receiving follow-up treatments once or twice a year.
No. Laser hair removal does not harm the skin, and it does not cause pain. The SopranoICE laser used at Cloud Care Cosmetics delivers highly targeted energy only to the hair follicles while simultaneously cooling the surrounding skin. As a result, a great majority of our clients experience only mild pressure during treatment.
The laser targets the dark pigment found in the hair follicles. The laser energy is absorbed by the follicles and converted into heat, which permanently damages the follicle. However, the laser effectively destroys only those hairs that are in the active growth phase. Because individual hair grows at different rates, several treatments are necessary to successfully destroy all hair follicles. Most of our patients need 4–7 treatment sessions, spaced about 4–6 weeks apart.
Immediately after the treatment, your hair will look about the same. Over the next 7–30 days, the damaged hair follicles will expel the last remnants of the weakened hair. Thus, you will see hairless skin in a few weeks.
Yes. You do not have to let your hair grow in between treatments unless your laser hair removal technician recommends otherwise.
Yes, laser hair removal is generally safe for the face because it does not damage skin cells. Many of our female patients have successfully got rid of embarrassing hair on the chin and upper lip, and many male patients have successfully removed excessive hair growth from the upper face.
Yes. In fact, laser hair removal is commonly used for the bikini area because it produces permanent results and is not painful like waxing. In fact, laser hair removal can be used on any area of the body, including legs, belly, chest and back.
People with very light skin are usually good candidates for laser hair removal, especially if they have darker hair. People with very dark skin tones require extra caution when performing laser hair removal. This is because the darker pigment in their skin is more susceptible to the laser wavelength used to treat hair follicles. Similarly, if you have a deep tan you might require extra caution. Talk with our highly experienced laser hair removal technician to determine whether laser hair removal is safe for you.
Yes. In fact, a combination of dark, coarse hair and lighter skin tones is ideal for laser hair removal. Blonde, gray and red hair is more difficult to remove because they have little pigment in them.
At Cloud Care Cosmetics all laser hair removal procedures are performed by a fully trained, highly experienced, dedicated laser hair removal technician. Our medical esthetician has treated thousands of patients and has an excellent track record of delivering outstanding results.
Both laser hair removal and electrolysis are effective at permanently removing unwanted hair. However, laser hair removal is much more efficient for large areas (such as legs, chest and back) because it treats many hairs at a time. Electrolysis, on the other hand, only treats one hair at a time and is therefore appropriate for small areas. This difference also makes electrolysis very expensive for larger body areas.
Laser hair removal normally does not produce any side effects. However, some patients experience minor swelling, redness and light burning sensation immediately after treatment. These side effects can be alleviated by using ice packs and over-the-counter pain medications.
In very rare cases, laser energy can cause burns similar to a bad sunburn, blisters and scabs. Other possible complications include infection and changes in skin colour (lighter or darker patches of skin). However, the vast majority of laser hair removal patients experience no complications and are highly satisfied with their results.
People suffering from serious skin conditions, such as psoriasis or dermatitis, are usually not candidates for laser hair removal. In addition, pregnant women and people who have a pacemaker should not pursue this procedure. Individuals who take certain medications, such as Accutane and Retin-A, are also not candidates.
